Both houses of parliament were disrupted again Thursday over a slews of issues, with Lok Sabha adjourned around noon and the Rajya Sabha a few hours later.

As soon as the Lok Sabha met, Janata Dal-United members waved placards opposed the "insulting" letter written by Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde to Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on the alleged failure of the state government in fighting the Maoists.

Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) members on the other hand displayed newspaper reports on the death of Muslim children in camps housing riot victims in Muzaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh.

Not to be left behind, MPs from Tamil Nadu denounced the arrests of some fishermen from the state by the Sri Lanka Navy.

MPs from Seemandhara region opposed to the creation of Telangana continued their protests, insisting that Andhra Pradesh should not be split.

The government, however, managed to get the demands for grant for general budget and railway budget passed in the din.

Amid the noisy disturbances, Speaker Meira Kumar adjourned the house till noon.

When the house met again at 12, the situation was no different.

The speaker called for order saying she wanted to take up the no-confidence motion against the government tabled by several members but the disturbances continued, forcing her to adjourn the house.

In the Rajya Sabha, BSP members complained that camps opened to house riot victims in Muzaffarnagar had been shut. The protests led to the adjournment of the house till noon.

When it met again, there were more protests. BSP members trooped near the chairman's podium demanding the dismissal of the Uttar Pradesh government.

JD-U members left their seats in protest against the letter written by Shinde to Nitish Kumar. DMK members raised the issue of Indian fishermen while TDP MPs shouted slogans for a united Andhra Pradesh.

Amid the pandemonium, the upper house was adjourned till 2 p.m.. and then for the day.
