Daugavpils (Latvia), Dec 8 (IANS) Indian challenge in the IBSF World snooker championships here ended Saturday night when Chitra Magimairajan went down 1-4 to Belgian Wendy Jans in the women's semi-final.

The 30-year old Jans came through 29-75, 66-60, 65-23, 75-0, 66-33, with a break of 59 in the fourth frame to set up a title clash with Chunxia Shi of China.

Shi eliminated former World champion Ng On Yee of Hong Kong 4-3 in a match that witnessed four 40-plus breaks with Yee crafting an 89 in the fifth in response to the Chinese rival's 66 in the previous frame.

The men's final will be between two Chinese teenagers Zhu Yuelong (15) and Zhao Xintong (16), both defeating experienced players, Lee Walker (Wales) 7-4 and Muhammad Sajjad (Pakistan) 7-5, respectively.

Walker, 37, started with breaks of 101 in the first and 71 in the third frames, but Yuelong came up with 93 in the fifth, 64 in the seventh, and 58 and 65 in the 10th.

Sajjad, despite runs of 100, 56, 53 and 54, could not match the consistency of Xintong who had just two big breaks of 52 and 56, but picked up points at crucial junctures to emerge winner.
