Pakistan's new army chief, Gen. Raheel Sharif, has stressed on the importance of professionalism in dealing with challenges, a media report said Saturday.
Gen. Sharif was chairing his first corps commanders' meeting Friday after becoming the new army chief Nov 29. He succeeded Gen. Ashfaq Parvez Kayani, who headed the army for six years.
Pakistan's internal and external security situation was discussed in the meeting, Dawn reported.
According to the daily's report, the meeting was described as "take charge meeting" where the general told his men that he wanted to see professional excellence in dealing with challenges.
