A benchmark index of Indian equities markets was trading flat at 85.47 points or 0.41 percent down in the pre-noon session Tuesday.
Good buying was observed in capital goods and consumer durables sectors, while selling pressure was seen in IT and auto sectors.

The 30-scrip sensitive index (Sensex) of the S&P Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), which opened at 20,604.27 points, was trading at 20,519.61 points in the pre-noon session, down 85.47 points or 0.41 percent from the previous day's close at 20,605.08 points.
The Sensex touched a high of 20,604.27 points and a low of 20,484.67 points during the trade so far.
The S&P BSE capital goods index gained 87.59 points and consumer durables index increased by 37.27 points. However, IT index slipped by 57.43 points and auto index dropped by 54.60 points.
The wider 50-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was also trading flat at 28.85 points or 0.47 percent down at 6,086.50 points.
