Ace designer Manish Arora marked the official launch of his collection titled Indian by Manish Arora in New York City. He says that "it feel great to launch the line in such a fun, hip and fast city".

"It feels great to debut my Indian collection in New York City as we launch my website! New York is such a fun, hip and fast city. There's no other place that screams accessibility than the Big Apple and we're excited to keep the buzz going," the designer said in a statement.

The collection was launched at 15th anniversary entertainment gala of Indo-American Arts Council (IAAC) Thursday.

The event also marked the official launch of the designer's global online store - www.manisharora.com.

Known for psychedelic colours and kitsch motifs in garments that combine traditional Indian crafts with Western silhouettes, Arora's clothing was showcased at the Angel Orensanz Foundation for the Performing Arts.

The show was presented by Exclusively.in, one of the leading online retailer for Indian fashion.

"With the launch of my very own website, clients can now buy my latest collections and collaborations from anywhere. This partnership with Exclusively.in pushes us right to the top of the online, mobile and social media world," said Arora.

Apart from the collection, the night also witnessed the premiere of designer's film "Holi Holy".

The film celebrates widows from Varanasi, the holiest of the seven sacred cities in Hinduism and Jainism through holi color and a vivid, eye-catching collection.

"Showcasing Manish’s incredible Indo-Western collection at the same venue where Lady Gaga did her Vogue photo shoot and ‘Sex and the City’ star Sarah Jessica-Parker married Matthew Broderick is rather befitting,” said Sunjay Guleria, CEO of Exclusively.in.
