Temple authorities and cooks with ladoos that will be distributed on New Year by the Sri Yoganarasimhaswamy temple authorities at the temple in Mysore on Dec.29, 2013. Over 2 Lakhs ladoos will be distributed to the general public. The practice of distributing ladoos was adopted in the year 1994 when 1000 ladoos were distributed. As many as 50 cooks are hired to make the ladoos which are of different seizes and weights since 23rd Dec. 1500 of the ladoos being prepared weigh 1.5 kgs, 20,000 of them weigh 600 grams and two lakh ladoos of them weigh 100 grams.
