Did you miss the 22nd ISKCON Rath Yatra on June 22nd? No worries -the spiritual celebration isn’t over yet. The main Jagannath Puri Yatra takes place on June 27, 2025, and there’s still plenty happening right here in Calgary for desis who want to connect with the festival.
About Rath Yatra
The Jagannath Rath Yatra is a sacred Hindu festival where Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra, and Subhadra go on their annual chariot journey. It’s a symbol of divine love, community, and spiritual renewal and yes, it’s celebrated globally!
What’s Happening in Calgary?

June 27, 2025 – Visit Local Temples
Even though the ISKCON Calgary parade is over, you can still:
- Visit the ISKCON Temple for darshan, bhajans, and aarti
- Check with Hindu Society of Calgary and other local temples for special prayers
- Attend Sridevi Karumari Temple’s Kum Kum Pooja at 5:30 PM
June 29, 2025 – OSCAA Rath Yatra
Hosted by the Odia Social & Cultural Association of Alberta
Sri Murugan Society of Alberta
Expect a small chariot pull, Odia-style bhajans, cultural performances, and prasad.
